I got a used Whirlpool washer, not sure of the model number, and it only seems to work with Hot water. I have already checked the following:
– Cold water valve has pressure to it (sprayed myself in the face and made a mess, so I am sure)
– Hose does not have any kinks or clogs in it
– Screen on inside of the washer is not clogged and has been cleaned just in case.
Can anyone advise as to what to try next? I didn’t spend a lot on this washer, so I am hesitant to call a professional repairman. It would probably be more than I paid for the set…

The hose is definitely not the problem. I just unhooked it from the washer again and was able to fill a bucket of water, so it’s definitely flowing properly.
I reversed the hoses and got cold water on the Hot setting and nothing on the Cold setting still.
Is a mixing valve the same thing as a fill valve? And can I replace this/them myself?
