Resolved Question: Whats wrong with my cat…?
Posted by adminJun 27
Okay recently I took my cat to the vet because she’d been scratching at her neck constantly. So with that they find that she has a infection in her ear. They prescribed her ear drops and but told me to clean her ears out first, SO… I did, but Mia, My cat hates ear drops and she shook when I was giving them to her therefore causing them to get into her eye. I immediately flushed her eyes(both) out with water. Later that night I notice that one pupil was normal and her other pupil was tiny. The next day I took her to the vet and he said her eye was okay, and he put some stuff in it to dilate it and I was told to come back in 7 days to check on her ears.. Meanwhile Im giving her ear drops and her eye finally starts going back to normal she her balance is off a little when she shakes her head, and when she jumped off my bed… But while that’s happens, her pupil goes back to being tiny again. So I just kinda wondered about it… not to worried. Then I notice that she is wanting to be near me constantly, wanting under my blankets…(Note she never likes to being under blankets) So I blow that off too, thinking maybe she’s just cold with the air conditioning. Okay so then She wouldn’t eat her food… I feed her twice a day because shes on a diet, and its a VERY rare occasion when she turns her nose up on her dry food… So, worried I grab my other cats wet food and feed her that. The next day i take her back to the vet to get her ears checked on the make sure her infection was gone…. But her eye… is still messed up not normal… The vet told me to stop the ear drops and gave me some pills to give her. and told me that he’s worried about the ears and the balance thing, and that she wouldn’t eat, and the hes starts saying stuff like she might have a tumor or a growth back behind her ears giving them pressure making her lose her balance and making that eye do funny things… He did admit he was baffled about her eyes, because he said they were completely functioning correctly, they just didn’t match up….which isn’t normal… So I’ll take her back in, in 5 days to see if shes improving…. But I was wondering if any one had any idea what might be wrong with my cat… Cause I’m really hoping she doesn’t have some tumor or anything…
