Hi.
Im a freshman in hghschool. I still have some trouble with basic english, but here we go _
Can what we value be determined only by what we sacrifice? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.
Essay.
Something we value means different things to different people. As we value something, we tend to sacrifice for that value. It can be love, friendship, or respect. However, not all of us sacrifice for what we value. You may be peer pressured to do so, or forced to sacrifice, but in most cases, we sacrifice because we value something.
Long before I learned how to multiply numbers, I was in love with candies, addictive and vitriolic. I had around twenty dollars to buy more candy to chew on, but I decided to buy my mother a birthday present since her birthday was drawing close. As I gave her the present, I remember that she filled the house with tears, happy tears. As I remember these glorious memories, I still can’t believe what I’ve done. I was in Second grade back then, and I learned how to sacrifice for what I value. Countless grown ups still don’t understand what sacrificing for something one values.
Everyone’s goal changes dramatically as they grow up. My goal when I was in Second grade was to eat much candy as possible. Such an inane goal didn’t last long. Soon or later, it changed into something more important, my life. These four years I spend at high school determines my life. My goal is to be successful like students in Duke University as I revere them. It’s these four years that I have to endure and sacrifice to be successful for a life time. When my friends hang out and go to the mall, I stay home and study like I have an exam SAT tomorrow. Of course, I like to just chill too, but I endure it, and replete my knowledge with profound study material, because I know what I will get back by investing my time into this value, a life time of sublimity life.
Things we value don’t have to be always physically tangible. Let’s say something like a reputation. I’ve sacrificed plethora things that I value for the sake of my reputation. Valuing self reputation is abridged version of saying valuing myself. I once had a miniscule change of dollars, and there was a donation box on my way out. As my friends vigilantly studied me, I had to donate a few dollars to not look like an idiot, although I am a frugal person. What a squander
I believe that sacrifices can bring pleasure, and that is one of the reasons why it makes our life worth it. Whatever the value one supports with the sacrifices, love, family, money, or even reputation, it can always bring happiness at anytime.
It took me around 5 tries to get a 6.
I dont think this essay is worth 6. Its more like a 3 in my opinion.
I have a trouble using words. Like when expressing, I often use words such as ‘I”we”us”they”you’. What other words can i use? such as ‘one’.
Any errors or how I can make any sentences better?
Thanks ALOT.
