My uncle is 48 years old, and all of the sudden he started losing weight rapidly. (Over 19 lbs. in 3-4 weeks)
Also, his blood pressure got really high, he has diarrhea, and his hands and feet are peeling.

The doctors are assuming that it has something to do with an overactive thyroid, but all he is taking now is Propranolol.
The endocronologist told him to just take 10mg three times a day and he started feeling even worse.
Then, the doctor raised the dosage to 20mg.

My aunt is desperate. Nobody knows what to do or what is causing these problems.

Do any of you happen to know what is going on? Or have you heard of these symptoms before? Is it a virus? Or his thyroid?
