Open Question: College student and need help with weight.?

I admit I have a major problem. I eat when I’m bored.
I’m a typical college student and I eat the typical College meals.
But I have a major problem, I have no life because I spend most of it in my room either studying, or watching my nightly hour of television, or talking on the phone to my long distant fiance. However, when I am in my room, whether I am hungry or not I eat and I snack, its like I have no control, without knowing it ill have gotten up from my desk and grabbed a snack. How do I control myself? I know its bad but I cant seem to get away from it, i cant even fight the urge to buy snacks from the store, and when I do, somehow they end up in my room. Could a diet pill help suppress my hunger, or is this more of a psychological problem with my brain? my brain thinks im hungry when im bored? which is everyday from like 3 until i go to bed.
I’m 19, I weigh 175 lbs, and am 5′5. with high blood pressure, i exercise for about 30-40 mins every day of the week.
