My father who is over 50yrs old has been diagnosed witha blood clot on his right side of his brain after going to the doctors for bad headaches. He also has very high blood pressure and also high colestorol. He advised me the doctor said it was non life threatening. Can some one please advise me on this

The current combo is causing high blood glucose.

Hey Party People! I’m in this volcanology class but haven’t taken any physics yet. Can anyone help me set this problem up so I can solve it..I’m totally lost. Thanks!

The question reads,

1. Calculate how deep does the magma comes from that rises to the summit of Mauna Loa.
To do this problem you will need to assume that the pressure of the column of magma (to the top of Mauna Loa) will equal the combined pressure of the water, seafloor seds, ocean crust and mantle (you can ignore the weight of Mauna Loa here because it doesn’t contribute much relative to the whole lithosphere). Basically it is like stomping on a packet of ketchup…the harder you stomp, the higher it shoots!

Information you’ll need:

Pressure = (density) x gravity x height
Elevation of Mauna Loa = 4169 m
Depth of seafloor off Hawaii = -4023 m
Sediment thickness on ocean floor = 150 m
Thickness of crust = 6.5 km
sediments = 2.00 gm/cm3
basalt = 2.84 gm/cm3
magma = 2.80 gm/cm3
mantle = 3.10 gm/cm3

I have a dull ache and pressure around my tailbone area and a little higher and to the sides of it. It just started last night and is still here this morning.

So, I might have a high metabolism. I eat a lot, and a lot of sweets and stuff, but I don’t really gain weight. I’ve gained some because of puberty or if I really binge, but that’s it. I’m not scrawny, though. I am pretty muscular and big boned so I weigh more than I look. And I do have fat on me. But I am slimmer than average, and eat more than average.
Also, drinks pass through my system super fast. If I drink water, it’s gone sometimes 10 minutes later. I don;t think it’s a bladder infection, because it’s been like this for years. Could that be a symptom too?
I’m a girl, I have low/normal blood pressure, I’m 16.
What are other signs of a high metabolism?

I just went to the optometrist concerned about some eye pain I’ve been having over the past 3 days. He saw that everything was fine and to come back in a few days if the pain didn’t go away. I did see that my eye pressure was 24 in one eye and 21 in the other, should I be concerned?

PURE LIQUIDS BOIL AT HIGHER TEMPERATURES UNDER HIGH PRESSURE THAN THEY DO UNDER LOW PRESSUE BECAUSE

A THE MOLECULES OF LIQUID ARE CLOSER TOGETHER AT HIGH PRESSURE
B IT TAKES A HIGHER TEMP FOR VAPOR PRESSURE TO EQUAL THE EXTERNAL PRESSURE
C VAPOR MOLECULES ARE FARTHER APART UNDER HIGHER PRESSURE
D VAPOR DIFFUSES RAPIDLY AT HIGHER PRESSURE

THE GRAPH THAT SHOWS THE PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THE PHASES OF A SUBSTANCE EXIST IS CALLED

A A PHASE DIAGRAM
B A VAPOR PRESSURE CURVE
C A UNIT CELL
D KINETIC MOLECULAR THEORY OF MATTER

WHICH IS NOT A TYPICAL PROPERTY OF SOLIDS
A DEFINITE MELTING POINT
B HIGH DENSITY
C EASILY COMPRESSIBLE
D LOW RATE OF DIFFUSION

ok so my legs were sore from gym the past few days.. but ive completely gotten over that… but we were doing our usual routine of running across the gym (high run, butt kick, karaoke, etc.) when suddenly the back of my calf began to hurt majorly… it’s more than just sore pains.. i dk what it is… i cant really walk except by walking on my heal.. if i put any pressure on the front half of my foot, a sharp pain shoots up my leg… what could this be?

I’m currently 25 weekspregnant with my second child. With my first I really had no big problems except I had high blood pressure(not preeclampsia) toward the end. I also have daibetes and I was induced 2 weeks early. Baby was not ready to come out yet so I wound up with a c-section.

This time I’m having a few issues and I’m concerned. I was having some pretty uncomfortable Braxton Hicks contractions when I got around and moved very much. They usually get better after resting for a bit but I would have them every day. I went to my doctor last week. She checked me and I was not dialated at all. She also did a fFP test which was negative for preterm labor. She told me to try to drink more fluids and that if they got worse or continued and I started to dialate, then I was going to have to likely go on bedrest. Since my appointment I have not been having too many Braxton Hicks anymore, but I do get a lot of mild period like cramps that also hurt in my back now.

Obviously I will do whatever is best for my baby, but I’m worried about being put on bed rest. I’ve been sick a lot this pregnancy with re-occuring respiratory infections and I’ve missed a good bit of work already. B/c of the amount I’ve already missed, I only have 11 weeks of paid sick leave left at my job. If you count my 6-8 weeks for maternity leave depending on if I have to have another c-section or not. That leaves me with only 3-5 weeks of paid time left. If I get put on bedrest any time soon I’m not going to have enough paid time to get me through my maternity leave meaning I will have to take time without pay. We are very much a 2 income family and can not afford for me not to get my salary. We would not be able to pay our house note.

So, my questions are what can I do now (before having to commit to bedrest) to keep this baby in and healthy? And have any of you delt with this situation and what creative ideas did you come up with to save money and curb the no income?

How high will a hot air balloon rise if the temperature inside is maintained at 340 K? Assume that the ambient temperature is 300 K. Assume that the pressure inside and outside are the same, but the density inside is reduced by heating. It is convenient to reference the calculation to the temperature of the atmosphere T0 = 300 K. This temperature corresponds to the density at sea level. To what height does the air balloon rise? Please give your answer in meters.
There is enough information. This is from a homework assignment. That is all the information my teacher has given.
