I have a 2002 Goodman furnace with an automatic pilot.
The coil will glow but my burners won’t light. I have had the gas valve and pressure switch changed and cleaned the flame sensor with sand paper. Can someone tell me what the problem is?

Resolved Question: Head pessure (headache?) and blood in right ear?

Age: 27 Male

Hi everyone. For the past 3 weeksI have been experiencing some very uncomortable pressure at the top of my head. My first instinct is headache, but its more of a pressure build up. almost like my head will pop if it keeps getting worse. About 5 days ago, I was cleaning my ears out and noticed there was an excessive amount of blood on the cue tip.I don’t really feel pain in my ear, but after this happened, whenever the head pressure came, I paid attention to it, and sure enough, i could definitely tell that there was a very slight but faint pain in my ear as well. The other day, my friends and I were having a silly little quirral, nothing serious, but all the sudden, an extremely painful, sharp, quick pain hit the right side of my right eybrow. It did that about 6 times within a few minutes. When it calmed down, I rubbed it, and by rubbing it i created that pain again, so I stopped.
I know that I should go see a doctor. However, 3 or 4 weeks ago I was sent to the emergency room due to kidney stones. Being 27, I had no idea what was going on and was pretty sure that I was dying, so my friend sent me to the emergency room. Long story short, it cost me 6K in fees just to find out I was passing a stone, and I have no health insurance, and I also lost my job a few months ago, so i have no money whatsoever. I’m afraid to go to the doctor only so they can run lots of tests and find out that there is nothing wrong with me, yet be footed another huge bill.
Any idea what this could be?
Voting Question: Am i wasting my time?

I been with my BF 2 1/2 years.Im now 22 and he is 26.4 months into dating me he told me he was pretty sure he wanted to marry me and 11/2 years ago due to a roommate moving out He moved in to help pay the lease.
He saved up for a ring but I wasn’t looking at being engaged 1 year into the relationship and if we saved up once we could do it again.
We hit a hard wall with school, with jobs so now we are trying to get back on track.
It doesn’t help that my parents want him to convert (they would pay for the wedding and absolutely spoil thier future grand kids, help with down payment for our house etc once he did such)
I had to move out for a few weeks due to my father becoming aggitated at everything and blaming it on my BF. While i was gone my BF became friends with this guy that is complete posion.
He in his upper 30’s has high blood pressure, drinks constantly, smokes at least 2 packs a day, loves to get into fights, loves to fuck though hasn’t been with anyone in over 1 1/2 years, has a messed up back that causes him problems from time to time, and he just lives in his own dream world. can not manage himself enough to have a checking account and never has a nice thing to say about women but brags about his sexual prowess. A lot of us suspect behind his back that he is either gay or bi but wont admit it to himself.
He doesn’t like me at all and he made that clear becouse i visited with someone else instead of him the day after a party that he trashed her house and she spent a few hours having to clean up and i didn’t want to talk about it with him.
I have a feeling that he wants to break us up. my BF no longer looking at how soon we could get married, he not even sure if we will get married anymore.
I love him with all my heart but am i wasting my time? is he to poisoned by this friend ?
My bf always been a person to just go along with stuff but he does stand his ground when he wants to.
This friend of his is violent and he knows it so he rather talk to outside of the guys house about what the guy said then to his face.
My Bf tried to warn me to stay away from the posion and that the truth of it is he rather go out and do stuff with me but since we work opposite shift right now ( i work 3pm-11 at a hospital and he works 7-3pm that we don’t see each other often enough)
the posion claims that he calls and talks with my bf parents every so often and that they love him and they can’t stand me. I asked Frank what he thought and he thought that was bull.
Voting Question: He wants to get married…..I’m debating on whether or not I should stay. I love him.I don’t know what to do?
Author: adminMar 31
I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve known him since I was 6. He lived next door my entire life and has seen me through some of the most horrific and difficult things in my life. I love him, we’ve been together for 7 years, through college, graduate school, we both have good jobs, a solid relationship and we already live together so it makes sense that he wants to get married, but I can’t do it. I had a horrific childhood. My dad physically and sexually abused my brother and I for years. My mom’s solution to the problem was to end her own life. I always told myself that I would never have children or get married. I have this all encompassing fear that if I get married and have children that somehow my childhood would repeat itself.
Ideally, I would love to get married and have a big wedding, the nice house with the 2.5 kids, but when I sit there and think of myself with these things I feel suffocated. When I lean toward saying yes to his marriage proposal I feel trapt, like him slipping the ring on my finger signifies doom. I know that it sounds crazy, but I feel like the past always finds a way to repeat itself. He knows about my past and how I feel. He knew what my stance was on marriage long before we even started our relationship, so I don’t feel compelled to say yes. He says no pressure, that he isn’t going anywhere regardless.. but I know he wants to get married and that he wants a family. I don’t know if I’ll ever bee able to give him those things.
The more I think about it the more I start to think that maybe he would be better off with someone who could. Someone who isn’t as damaged, who could love him 100%. I do love him, he’s probably the only person on the planet that I give damn about, but sometimes you need more that love to make a relationship work, right? He says he would be fine if we don’t get married or have kids, but I’ve known him for 21 years. I know he wants these things. What if somewhere down the line he ends up resenting me for missing out on marriage and fatherhood because he decided to stay with me. He’s a great guy and has always gone out of his way to make me happy, I feel like he deserves better. I just can’t be that person for him. I’m starting to think that I should just leave or end things, make a clean break, let him move on with someone who could truly make him happy. It seems like the right thing to do, but when I start formulating a plan to leave or formulating what I’m going to say a feeling of dread washes over me. I truly love him, I have for the majority of my life. I don’t want to leave and the last thing I want to do is hurt him, but I think that leaving would be the right thing to do. Is it or would I be making a mistake?
Voting Question: For Any Medical Staff/Students, What other conditions could these symptoms suggest?
Author: adminMar 31
Ok, now before you all start shouting at me to go see a doc, I am already seeing one but were at the beginning stages so no confirmed diagnosis yet, just the doctors suspicions. I will list the symptoms and rough dates they started. none of these symptoms have stopped as of yet.
July: extreme itching around my man parts, specifically the rear (no laughing please… :p ) continuing.
August: Night sweats, varying, some nights ok, some nights drenched completely, some nights damp, Continuous, worsened in October.
Early October, groinal lymph glands extremely raised, lump begins forming off left groinal gland.
late October, sudden weight loss,10 pounds in two weeks, original weight and height taken two weeks before, 10 stone 10 pounds, 5ft7.5 inches when your this short the .5 counts
(14 pounds in a stone for our USA guests), random bouts of fatigue varying day to day, hour to hour at times, no stamina. Docs Visited. Examination also reveals possible tender liver.
Early November, left groinal glands possibly subsided or just obscured by lump, right groinal gland still firm but not showing any signs of deformation, left lump still present and slowly growing, causing a very slight aching sensation at times, like growing pains as a kid but located to one area and very dull pain.
*possibly related, unknown issue*
two small strange marks appeared on the glands of my penis, two other strange small marks now permanent on foreskin. have noticed the occasional other odd strange mark here and there generally, and random bouts of itchiness here and there. For those of you thinking gross, believe me im not happy either, I shower every day. I am a clean person.
Early November, new very small painful bump on left arm (about the size of a pea) under vein, probably unrelated, possibly pressure from resting my arm on the edge of PC desk when typing and office chair when sitting? not growing, nor moving (used marker pen and monitored over three days)
each morning I wake feeling like ive been hit by a truck and looking like I have had all the blood drained from my body.
tests to date:
Chest Ex-ray: all clear
Full Blood Count: Inflammatory Indicators found.
Full Sexually Transmitted Infection battery performed, once in July when the itching started, once in late October. All negative, tests included testing for LGV.
My history:
Zip. I barely drink alcohol, I eat home made well cooked meals (im Italian), plenty of vegetables, more than average health concious person. I know I don’t get enough exercise but I do walk most places and am a slim guy.
One bad thing I do. I smoke, 5 to 7 hand rolled tobacco per day. ironically I was due to start anti smoking drugs next week as I want to quit.
My doc is concerned it could be a cancer, specifically lymphoma. And I have basically been trying to match my symptoms to other possible causes in order to give me hope until I get a diagnosis which could still be a week or two away. What I want to know from any medical professionals out there is what else do these symptoms match?
My thanks to you,
From (Luc) 27, very worried, in Coventry UK.
Additional:
OK, the first answer I got back was from krystie5 who simply said syphilis.
whilst im grateful for the answer,
*PLEASE* IF YOUR NOT GOING TO BOTHER READING IT ALL, DONT BOTHER POSTING.
As I stated in the question a full battery of tests for STi`s was completed. TWICE over three months. it came up all clear.
Voting Question: research paper based on teen smoking.what do you think?anything need fixing?

The Effects of Adolescent Smoking
Isn’t smoking cool? It’s not like cigarettes kill thousands of people a year and decrease the lifespan of millions of teens across the globe. Right, wrong. The role that tobacco plays in today’s teen culture is complicated, and we need to ask three questions in an attempt to understand this compelling issue: 1) Why are teenagers smoking? 2) What are the long-term and short-term effects of tobacco on physical and mental health? and 3) How can teenagers receive help before reaching the point of addiction? Although many teenagers start smoking for reasons that seem good to them at the time, they don’t realize how much harm smoking can cause to their health and to others around them.
Peer pressure, vulnerability, negative influences and popularity are some of the many reasons why smoking and tobacco have been introduced to teens all over the globe. This statement commences to address our first question: Why are teenagers smoking? According to Mollie Pinker of Teen Ink magazine, “teens often get hooked on cigarettes if their parents, older siblings, or friends smoke, or if their parents simply don’t care […]” (16). Young people have many reasons to take their first puff: to be sociable, act mature, show their independence or enhance their attractiveness. All reasons of which are utilized to impress others and not necessarily benefit themselves. Also, “because cigarettes are so prohibited, it becomes more alluring to teens” (Fibkins 1) making them seem more mature or dangerous because of the fact that they are doing something so forbidden. The habit of smoking may start off with just one cigarette, and then an occasional pack. Soon they realize that they are unable to go without smoking for less than a day. Teens have gotten so used to reaching for a cigarette first thing in the morning, after meals or during any stressful time, “before they know it, they’ve become addicted, both physically and psychologically” (Achot 2). Although the health risks of a smoker may not be a matter of their concern, one must be aware of the affects that come along after the point of addiction occurs.
When teens are pressured to use drugs they usually do not consider about how it will influence their future. But what many of these teens may not be aware of is that these life taking products are a major health risk that can cause “heart disease, emphysema, lung cancer, high blood pressure […] and premature aging” (Buswell 18). Smoking in young people can hamper both the rate of lung growth and the level of maximum lung functioning making it difficult to breath or do any outside activities. Further, smoking hurts young people’s physical performance and endurance. Many teens underestimate the risk of death that comes alongside with smoking. The body doesn’t need tobacco the way it needs food, water, sleep and exercise therefore, is not needed in the everyday life of a teen, young adult or anyone for that matter. According to Barbara Fibkins, the author of “Teens and Smoking Tobacco”, a person who smokes a pack or more of cigarettes a day “will live about seven fewer years than a nonsmoker and that single cigarette will take off about five to twenty minutes off that person’s life” (1). This proves that each time a smoker lights up, they are decreasing their lifespan and limiting their time that can be spent with family or loved ones. Not only is smoking bad for you, but it is also unattractive. “Because smoking restricts blood vessels, it can prevent oxygen and nutrients from getting to the skin” (Hirsch 1) therefore, making smokers to appear pale and unhealthy. Smoking also has the affect of causing hip fractures, bone thinning, yellow teeth and persistent bad breath. Although teens may have in their mind that smoking has that certain appearance that they are looking for, they may want to rethink how the long-term and short-term affects of smoking can influence their further opportunities to succeed in life.
The saying “what they don’t know wont kill them” is obviously just an expression. Cigarette smoking may give a teenager the appearance of looking older but in fact “79 percent of teens don’t know what they are smoking” (Dueffert 1). This proves how unaware teenagers are to the chemicals in cigarettes, therefore making them more prone to health concerns or any smoking related disease. Cigarettes contain “over 4,700 chemicals, and at least 40 of those are known carcinogens” (Heyes 49), which mean they cause cancer. Some of these chemicals include ammonia (toilet cleaner), acetone (nail polish remover), arsenic rat poison, hydrogen cyanide (gas chamber poison), and tar, which deposits itself in the smokers lungs. The worst chemical found in cigarette smoke, however, is nicotine, “one of the most addictive substances known to man” (Pinker 16). Nicotine can both rejuvenate and relax a smoker, depending on how much they smoke. According to Larissa Hirsch of kidshealth.o
